In addition to the renovation, the redevelopment of Het Gildenkwartier in Utrecht also included an extension of the quarter. This involved new construction and renovation of shops, entrances to offices and flats.
The building was also enlarged on the outside by means of a plinth of approx. 10 metres high, creating more retail space.
