In Leiden, beer used to be made from water from the Rhine. Because the AKOR team broke down 7 old buildings in the centre, archaeologists can now examine the remains of the old city brewery Click here and look from 12 minutes on at the item about this topic in the NOS news here (in Dutch).
Logistically, the realisation of 3,000 m2 of commercial space in the old town is challenging. On one side the building site is bordered by a shopping street and on the other side by a canal. Moreover, the new building plan is completely submerged and the surrounding buildings (partly monumental) are in poor condition.
We are carrying out this work as a project team together with our client DELA VAstgoed BV and hope to be ready in 2020.
